Dit keer met
The Sewing Sisters QuiltMania Tour
Van woensdag 1 t/m zaterdag 4 mei
maken we van Amersfoort
weer een quiltstad!
De St Joriskerk zal vol hangen
met quilts uit
twee nieuwe Quiltmania boeken.
Het ene boek is gevuld met quilts van
Di Ford Hall en haar Secret Sewing Sisterhood,
met als gasten Carol Veillon, Renée Ferré,
Michele Beugnon en Petra Prins.
Al deze quilts zijn geïnspireerd op
de antieke quilts
uit het boek
"Meanderings of a Quilt Collector"
by Jane Lury.
Het tweede is van
Susan Smith,
"Quilts,
Somewhat in the Middle"
We kennen Susan van quilts als
The Prince, Stonefields,
The Rowdy Flat Library Quilt
en Stevie's Garden
Wil je het boek niet missen?
dan sturen wij het je toe zodra
het bij ons binnenkomt.
Ook al de quilts uit dit boek zullen in de
St Joriskerk te bewonderen zijn.
En.......
Susan Smith komt maar liefst
twee dagen cursussen verzorgen.
Op woensdag 1 mei gaat ze aan de slag
met een quilt uit haar boek.
Een applicatie quilt,
helemaal in blauw-witte tinten.
Donderdag 2 mei zal ze een
master class geven in
The Lewis Coverlet
De prijs van de cursussen is € 90,=,
dit is inclusief de toegang tot de tentoonstelling,
een goodie bag, koffie/thee en een lunch,
De lunch wordt geserveerd in de Gerfkamer.
Op vrijdag 3 mei neemt
Petra Prins
haar intrek in de Gerfkamer
en ga je werken
aan haar quilt uit het
Secret Sewing Sisters boek
"Queen Victoria"
Een quilt gemaakt ter gelegenheid van het
50-jarig regeringsjubileum van
Queen Victoria in 1887.
De reproductie quilt zal in de kerk hangen,
de ORIGINELE ANTIEKE QUILT
wordt gebruikt tijdens de cursus.
Een hele dag aan de gang met stoffen,
mallen en papers.
De prijs voor de workshop is € 90,=,
dit is inclusief de toegang tot de tentoonstelling,
een goodie bag, koffie/thee en een lunch,
De lunch wordt geserveerd in de Gerfkamer.

This time with the
The Sewing Sisters QuiltMania Tour
The St Joriskerk will be filled with quilts
from two new Quiltmania books.
One book will be filled with quilts from
Di Ford Hall and her Secret Sewing Sisterhood,

takes up residence in the Gerfkamer
You will make a start with her quilt
from the Secret Sewing book
"Queen Victoria"
The original quilt was made in occasion of the
50th anniversary of queen Victoria's reign.
The reproduction will be hanging in the church
The antique one will be used during the class.
A whole day playing with fabrics, templates and papers.
